Impact Report 2017/18

Clarion Futures is the charitable foundation of Clarion Housing Group, providing support, skills and opportunities to our residents and communities. We’re investing £150 million over the next 10 years to deliver one of the biggest social investment programmes in the country, transforming thousands of lives for the better every year.

Communities

Communities

Clarion Futures Communities comprises all we do to make our estates and neighbourhoods more attractive and vibrant places to live. This includes providing grants to help residents and community groups improve their communities and supporting more than 70 community centres across the country. We also provide an extensive programme of support for our younger residents, including mentoring and citizenship activities through our ambassador programmes. In 2017/18:

Jobs and Training

A free, national employment and training service which is open to all Clarion Housing residents who are looking for work, Clarion Futures Jobs and Training offers a wide range of training and employment opportunities. These include work placements, apprenticeships, employability training and a job brokerage service. Employers we have placed Clarion Housing residents into jobs with include the NHS, Pret A Manger, Primark and Toni & Guy. We are also the lead delivery partner for Love London Working, a major employment programme for Londoners.

Money and Digital

Money and Digital

Our Money and Digital teams help Clarion Housing residents manage their money and get online. We offer guidance on budgeting and managing energy usage and provide access to free debt advice and affordable loans. We also offer a range of courses and workshops to improve digital skills and are part of a national network of volunteer digital champions who share their knowledge and skills with our residents.
